In September 2021, RST NightWash™ was installed on the 836-kilowatt (KW) solar array located on Nunes and Sons Dairy in Tulare, California. Here we look at the impact RST NightWash™ has had in the 7 months since it was installed at this location.
The 836 kW solar array has seen $23,000 of extra production compared to the same period the year before. The system is on track to deliver over $40,000 in extra production for the year.
The value of the extra production amounts to more than the system owner has paid through RST financing, resulting in a net positive cash flow for Nunes and Sons Dairy.
RST NightWash™ is able to deliver drastic production increases with minimal water use. With three cleanings per week at this site, RST NightWash™ requires about the same water needed to irrigate a single almond tree for a year.
