Commercial Pilot Project

On February 24, 2020, RST installed a PILOT project on a single inverter's worth of panels at a large commercial site. Performance data was compared for 8 months between the RST-inverter vs. non-RST-inverters.

Impact

• Two manual cleanings were performed during the PILOT in which the owner spent thousands of dollars. The panels were dirty again in a matter of weeks.
• RST improved production by over 10.6% on average over the eight-month period despite 9 rain days in March/April and the two cleanings.
• Soiling rates steadily increased through the season. In the last two weeks of October, soiling rates increased to over 1%/day.
